I would guess it is an earlier version of the PCI CAN.  I couldn't make out the part number, but you can download the current version of the NI-CAN drivers for it.  They should work unless it is older than 1998 (pre-1998 CAN card, part numbers: 183887A-01, 183887B-01), for which you will have to use older drivers.  Read the NI-CAN readme file to get the details.  The drivers will give you the tools for almost any programming language.

Could you please provide us the numbers (and letters) that are on the white stickers?  The one in the bottom left corner is probably the part number, but both would be helpful.

As for a guess, I think it is probably a PCI-CAN card, not a series 2, but a series 1 (that were not called series 1 before their decendants).

Hope that this helps,
Bob Young

Your part number is 184726C-01.  That means it should work fine with the current drivers.  You can also download the current software & hardware manual by searching for NI-CAN manual.

This is an obsolete model, so it isn't in the catalog any more.  It looks like it is the standard PCI-CAN (series 1) card, though.  I think the only way to be sure is to install the NI-CAN drivers, then install the card.  It will recognize the card, then you will be able to see what model it is in MAX.
