Hi ,
I Have a question about calibration and display the calibation in real world units
I calibrate a distance lt say for sake of the argument 157 pixels that repressent real world unit 0,76 meters.
How can i display that 0.76 meter ( its a diameter) as meters?.
all this with out doing the calc my selve , this because i need to recalibrate often.
and it make's no sense in doing the calc my selve evrytime since the computer knows that 157 pixels represent 0.76 meters
Where can i pop up or select to display 0.76 , with out doing the calc my selve ?

Cees,
the vision development module has the IMAQ Convert Pixel to Real World VI function.

Hi,
In Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) you can create a calibrated image which you then reference within all subsequent inspections. Using this technique you only need to create a new calibrated image (recalibrate) whenever there is a physical change to the inspection environment.
Any variables or calculation outputs can displayed using image overlay.
You haven't mentioned what software you're using.
Hope this is of some use.

Greg Shearer
