I am currently writing a program in VIsual Basic 2005 that uses IMAQ Vision for Measurement Studio Version 6.0. The code was originally written in Visual Basic 6.0, but I switched to VB 2005 to take advantage of new capabilities, such as multi-threading. However, I noticed that many of the IMAQ Vision functions (such as ArrayToImage and Copy) are several times slower in VB 2005 than VB 6.0. I was wondering if anyone else experienced similar problems or had any ideas about how to improve the speed of the program. Please let me know if there is any other information about my application that would be helpful.
