Triggered image acq with IMAQ 1424 board

I have a optic sensor, a strobe light a DALSA CAD1 camera and a 1424 imaq board. My question is:
1- What is the best method to fire the strobe light?
Using the RTSI output from the board?
2-How can I trigger the camera?
Using the RTSI output from the board?
3- Can I connect the sensor directly (using a signal conditioning card) to the IMAQ1424 and obtain the sensor activation as an RTSI input?

Frank,
From the sounds of your application, you want to trigger directly fromt he IMAQ board. To do this, I would suggest wiring directly to the 4 trigger lines located on pins 95-98. These are programable digital I/O lines. These lines should be accessible through the RTSI, but this is only useful if you are transferring the signal directly to another NI board in your system. For more information, here is a link to the 1424 manual, I suggest looking into the trigger functionality.
