Running NI 1742 and 1712 cameras with VBAI 2014

We have been using a 1742 camera with VBAI 2011 for years. We recently tried adding a 1712 with VBAI 2014. However, we can not get the older 1742 to work with the 2014 software. We can not seem to find the RT Image file to update the software on the camera.

Unfortunately VBAI 2014 no longer supports the older NI 1742 camera. Hardware compatibility for VBAI is documented in the readme file for each release. However I found this Knowledge Base article which summarizes VBAI and Smart Camera computability by version:

It looks like VBAI versions 2012 SP1 through 2013 SP1 support both the 1742 and the 1712. I am pretty sure you can multiple versions of VBAI on the same system though to work with different Smart Cameras.
