PCI-1410 video inputs with BNC-2090

Hi,

We need 2 video inputs on a PCI-1410. The first one goes to the on board BNC connector. The second one needs some external BNC connector too. Is it possible to use a BNC-2090 box to access the remaining video inputs?

Thanks in advance,

Dear physicien nocturne,

You will not be able to directly connect the PCI-1410 to the BNC-2090 due to differences in the pinouts and connector types for the two devices. It looks like the 2090 uses a standard D-type connector and would connect to a MIO (Multi-function Input Output) DAQ device using a SH6868 cable.

See the BNC-2090 user manual, page 2-7, for more information:
http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/321183a.pdf

To access the signals from the VHDCI 68 pin connector on the 1410, you could use one of the options listed here:

Cables for Analog Cameras:
http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/204090

or you could make your own custom cable according to the specifications found in Appendix A of the 1410 User Manual.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,

~Nate
