NI PCIe-1427

Hi. We've got Ni PCie 1427 framegrabber and mdr 26 to sdr 26 cable.

I'm trying to transmit frames from FPGA board to framegrabber.

Ive implemented only x0+/-, x1+/-, x2+/-, x3+/- and xclk+/- signals.

Frame parametrs are 120 fps, 12 bit pixel, 120 x 80 size.

I've connected board and framegrabber and then I'm trying to grab frame by NI software I got with framegrabber.

The questions are:

Is it enough x0+/-, x1+/-, x2+/-, x3+/- and xclk+/- signals for framegrabber  working? Can I grab frames only using these signals?

Should I use others signals of camera link base (CC1, CC2, CC3 ..., SerTFG, SerTC)?

Hi farbius,

It’s dependent on what you’re doing with the camera but I believe you’ll need all signals. Below I’ve attached a resource with more information. On page 25 (3-2) there is more information regarding the signals and pinout.

I’ve also linked a document with more information on the Camera Link standard. I believe the image under Bit assignments may be helpful for you.

I hope this helps!
