Image processing of COin

i need to remove the lighting and blur in the image of a coin

i also need to highlight the contours or the details present in the surface so that the image becomes easy for analysis....

i have attached the raw images of the acquired coins....

help me out with the functions and VI...

Hello

Well it seems dificult as you have a huge lighning gradient.

What I suggest is first to work on the acquisition before trying to work on these images.

Chose better lightning in order to be homogeneous and to highlight the details.

Then if you can, choose another image format than JPEG to avoid compression and artifacts in your images.

ya i focussed mainly on the lighting technique.....bt couldnt impart a constant lighting to the entire surface....

is there any means to highlight the details, as coin is a reflective surface i mostly get light being reflected.

moreover i process the image in .bmp format

as i was unable to upload .bmp format i converted to .jpg format....
