I tried to repair the modules. However, the NI MAX can't even read the camera and it freezes every time I tried to detect the camera. I guess some of the stuff were messed up in a way. I'll uninstall the stuff and reinstall to see if everthing can come back to normal.

Hi sikee,
One tip: When reinstalling, use the /reinstall token so all the previous files (if still present) can be replaced.

Hi AGJ,
Thank you for the tip!
Two more questions regarding of this:
- The version I'm using is Labview 2013, but this time for reinstallation, I want to install Labview 2015 instead. Does it still work? I still type in /reinstall in command promt for installation or I just directly install this newer version to cover the older version?
- When I was trying to repair it, I got the error 1612. And I found that this error was caused by the a corrupt Windows Installer cache on the computer. Does this affect anything about the reinstaling?

Hi Sikee,
Did you see this KnowledgeBase article about error 1612? You should repair the Windows installer before uninstalling NI software. After uninstalling LabVIEW 2013, you can then install LabVIEW 2015.

Thank you!
I've followed the instruction to send the log file and wait for the following instructions.
However, I tried to force reinstall it. After that, I can't run the Labview.exe at all. I'm aware that I might already mess something up and there are files missing. I have no clue about my current situation now. 😞 I'll wait for instructions for clearing out the error 1612 now. But do you have any idea abou the situation? And what should I do next?

When you say:
" The version I'm using is Labview 2013, but this time for reinstallation, I want to install Labview 2015 instead. Does it still work?"
Do you have the LabVIEW 2015 exe on your computer? Are you installing from disk? Or getting a fresh install from our website. I would suggest the latter. You can find an an install for LabVIEW 2015 here: http://www.ni.com/download/labview-development-system-2015/5308/en/
What other drivers and modules are you using? We need to make sure that everything is compatible. If you upgrade to LabVIEW 2015 here is the compatibility chart for IMAQdx: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/E5B9070435EDEC3686257D420081BCB1
When you are installing software, keep in mind the installation order. Please see this resource: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/27C92C1D28A8B0B686257A3F0064270B

Thank you. I have the labview 2015 disks, but I'll try to download the version in the link you sent here.
Since I think I've uninstalled some modules already before the error 1612 popped up (I cann't open the Labview.exe now), should I uninstall everything before I reinstall? I heard that the NI files cannot be completely cleared out, eventhough all the modules are uninstalled. Will the remaining files affect the reinstallation?

Also, I read from a reply that maybe reinstalling into another folder will fix the issue. Is that possible? I just want to make sure that things won't get worse after that.
To the current situation, will formating the computer be the best solution?
I appreciate all your helps!

If you want to make sure that any corrupt files are reinstalled, I would suggest a force reinstall instead of an uninstall/reinstall!
Force Reinstall NI Software from the Command Prompt in Windows
