I am tring to set the gain on a Point Grey Dragonfly camera. I have gain values that range from 0-34db and they get scaled to produce values of 0-1023. Any gain values from 8db to 34db work fine. If I use a gain of 0-7, which translates to values of 0-198, I get a -1074364404 error, Allocator not initialized. If I use the properties page in the National Explorer to set this range of values, they seem to work OK. I am using the half baked version of the IMAQ1394.DLL to communicate with the camera via Visual Basic.
