I need to put together a vis

ion acquisition system. This system requires an absolute precision since the object I'll be working with is in the micron range. What camera would work best with LabVIEW IMAQ to perform this task? Also, what would be the best frame grabber for this camera?

Usually choosing an image acquisition (especially with high precision) requires a number of considerations including camera, lens, lighting, and frame grabber.

From your description, you will certainly be needing a digital camera, you will need to use either the PCI-1422 or PCI-1424 depending on the camera you decide to use. A list of supported cameras supported by Nationl Instruments digital Framegrabbers can be found at http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nipc.specs?action=search&asid=1102

It is best that you talk to a system integrator first before deciding on a vision system. We recommend Graftek imaging http://www.graftek.com for advice on camera selection, lighting, and lens.
