Frame grabber not found in MAX

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm a green hand in labview. I tried to control my camera (Dalsa, Falcon 1.4M100) by the labview with the camera link frame grabber (Dalsa, Xcelera-CL LX1 Base). I have the VisionAcq850. But I can not find it in the MAX as attached. Should I write some configure files (such as dll files) by myself or I can not use it.

No chance. MAX will not recongnize third party camera link framegrabbers.

The following workarounds for you:

- use NI PCI 1426/1428 CL grabber - this is easiest way

- use camera with GigE or firewire interface

- use  Xcelera-CL API for programming - this is most hard way (not recommended for beginners)

Thanks!

I have to choose the third way, or my boss will be unhappy for the extra thousands of dollars
