Complete description of ROI's

Hi

Has someone has a complete description of the ROI-structure? including the coordinate definition of all shapes?
I've found some bits of information in this forum (e.g. Definition of Global rectanlge and rectangle coordinates definition).

I need the definition of a Polygon coordinates, but even better would be a complete description (pdf ?!!!).

Hello Patrick,

did you look at the conept manual? You find more information about ROI on the page 39 (2-8) and page 29 (1-10).
You can find the concept manual under Start/Programme/Natinal Instruments/Vision Assistant/Concept Manual.

You find also examples under the example finder in LV.
Or use the Link below.

I think this should help you out to become familiar with the ROI function.

Kind regards,

Elmar

Hi Elmar

I already found the information your refering to, regraddably in all cases a thorough explanation all shapes is missing. In other words; I miss the definition of the "Contours-Cluster", that for each shape. Remind that I want to manipulate the ROI. There are a lot of bits of information in the documentation an din this forum, I am looking for a complete discription.

Patrick,

You are correct, the documentation on the ROI Descriptor is very limited.  It is possible however to deduce how each ROI is defined by tinkering with the ROIs in LabVIEW.  Since, I don't think you should have to do that, I have created an example VI in LV 8.0 that explains each ROI type, how it is defined, and allows you to change the ROI descriptor on the fly and see how it effects the ROI.

Patrick,

Use the file attached to this post instead.  I forgot to save my default values in the original VI.  So I am reposting it.
