Bitmap of Grayscale images

hello everyone can anybody plz help me out.....i want to show grayscale images into Bitmap (0-7 bits). Is it possible to show garyscale image into bitmap 1 bit, 2bit,..upto...7bit image.

you can convert directly an image from grayscale to bitmap by saving your grayscale image into .bmp

or you want to use labVIEW for this??

then I think you can do color thresholding of a grayscale image using NI vsion assistant.
