Hello wlan,

the Point Grey  Bumblebee Camera is a IEEE1394 Camera and works under the IIDC - Standard with the NI-IMAQ for IEEE1394 Driver http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/161B95F09A55347F862571EF00549358?opendocument&node=13207....

For aquire pictures from both cameras, please test the following LV - Programm.

Hello Uwe,

thanks a lot for your answer. After i changed the camera driver to the NI-IMAQ-IEEE1394 driver, i can get images in MAX. The images are from the right lense, the camera name is cam0.

But wenn i add a cam1 into a VI, that can not be recognized.

The Bumblebee camera has 1 firewire interface and 2 lenses.

Can you tell me what should i do so that i can get stereo pairs?

Thanks!

I am using NI Vision Acquisition Software Version 8.2.3 for windows and trying to connect bumblebee stereo camera, but It is not detected by the NI-IMAQ.

Any help would be appreciated.

According to the Pt. Grey Datasheet the Bumblebee is compliant with the IIDC 1394-based Digital Camera Specification v1.31. Both NI-IMAQdx 3.0.x and Legacy NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras 2.0.x support IIDC cameras. I recommend using NI-IMAQdx for new application development. The driver is available for download from:

http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/5153F722B0F33FFA862572AE004E2FE4

I have not tested the Bumblebee. I am not certain how to get images from both sensors. I will try to get my the bumblebee and see if we can data streams from both sensors.

Hope this helps,

JohannS

Well, in my case I am not able to see either of the stereo camera and I do have the latest NI-IMAQ drivers. I have also tried on compact vision system (Real-Time Hardware), which didn't work either. I know my camera works because I am able to grab images using  Digiclops.

Any  suggestions?

Thanks.
