Support for 6.2.2 on Windows 2000 and XP

Will you be 'certifying' version 6.2.2 for Windows 2000 in the near future? I have heard that (at least) there is a problem with the Autocode C module under Windows 2000. Since most people in my company use 6.2.2, it would be nice if we could move up from our NT 4.0 machines.

Michael,

We have just completed the transfer of assets from our MATRIXx acquisition; now we are ensuring that we have everything required to build various versions of the software.

Once we complete our evaluation, we will develop a plan for verifying 6.22 and 7.x on Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Support for current operating systems is a priority.

We also share the same concern with our V6.2.2 since we will be upgrading to Windows 2000 very shortly.

Can you provide a schedule of activities so that we can understand the basic timeframe we are dealing with to permit us to better co-ordinate our activities?

Our initial plans are to deliver new versions of MATRIXx 6.2.x and V7.x that will install and execute properly on Windows XP. As you probably know, MATRIXx 7.0 is already supported on Windows 2000.

We plan to announce new pricing and support policies for MATRIXx within the next several days. New customers and customers who purchase the MATRIXx SSP (Software Subscription Program) for their existing licenses will receive the new release as soon as it is available.

Sincerely,
Perry Steger
