Next meeting announcement:

When: Friday, July 20, 2012 11:00 AM-1:00 PM (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).

Where: Monogram Hall A (subject to change)

If you are interested in improving your testing knowledge, and skills, or if you are interested in a free lunch (menu TBD), the Third Labview Users Group meeting of 2012 is exactly where you want to be.

  1. Todd Swartz will be peeling himself away from his many important IT responsibilities, to review GE’s volume license with us, how to check it out, and how to use it.  This is the most frequent question I am asked. Thanksin advance Todd!
  2. Brian Schork will demonstrate how to use Labview to create a stand-alone executable, and an installer, an essential skill if you are going to distribute your application.
  3. Bryan Kennedy of Ball Systems will be reviewing his much anticipated and advanced Dish Architecture, used both in manufacturing and in testing.  We’ll all be taking notes from this Certified Labview Architect.
  4. Finally, Keith Wait will be discussing SVN (CVS all grown up) on OpenGE.  For anyone that does code collaboration and/or version control, this one is a must!  For those of us fortunate enough to work at GE, this will become the backbone for code sharing around Appliance Park.

And as always, Jeremy Backer will be here representing National Instruments.  Good knowledge, and free Food.  Don’t miss it!

The Labview Users Group meeting is an opportunity to learn and network with other Labview users around GE, and around the Louisville area.  This year, we will begin each meeting with techniques that novices will find useful.  Guest speakers will provide insight into how to design better test systems.  Local experts will be available to field questions.
