The lookout installation 6.0 installs also MSSQL server. Can we uninstall MSSQL server after finish the lookout installation? Why does the client use this application?

Lookout logs the alarms and events to the SQL Server. I don't suggest you to uninstall it.

We have a parent process running on the server, which stores all alarms and events of interest.

The client process that runs on the local PC, works on the servers data. It doesnt store events or alarms at the local PC.

At the moment when We want to install only the client lookout, the installation process installs the MSSQL Server by default.
We want to know if we can uninstall the MSSQL Sever client, because we detected a virus which tries to connect to the server through SQL.

Good question, I am wondering if the SQL server is installed to get core drivers and files?

It is installed as a Network Service, which gives it a lot of privelages.

We have already removed SQL Server from Lookout 6.6 client installer.

I think you can manually uninstall it on client, although we have not tested it. You should be able to view server's alarm/event without SQL Server.
