Usually alarms are set up when the object is created, like a serial communication. Not all the objects will display or trigger alarms. If so, you cannot modify the text displayed. BUT, you can add what is called events to the alarm display.
On the main menu, click on alarms\filter options and select alarms & events, or just events as you prefer.
Now create event objects: object\logging\event.
