Unable to connect Lookout to an Allen Bradly SLC5/04

When I try to connect Lookout to the Allen Bradley (RS232 ports) I get a message says: No response - no ACK for our transmission. Does anybody have a suggestion on where to look?

Sorry I don't have an absolute answer for you (yet). I could use some more info from you though. What are all of your settings in your AB-SLC500 driver? Can you connect to the plc with RSLinx using the same serial cable? Make sure that your settings in your Lookout driver are the same as the config of your RSLinx driver.

Thanks Carl. I can connect to the plc with RSLinx using the same cable.I will check the settings on the RSLinks driver.

To use RS-232 direct into the 5/04, you need a null-modem cable. Both the PC and the PLC are DTE. With a PIC you do not need he null modem.
