Non functioning pushbuttons

Hi there, we have been trying to use the new version of lookout 6 after

recompiling the 4.5 version and manually altering the alarm groups, we have

come across another problem, none of the items on the recompiled project

will allow writing to the connected device, we get information back to the

project, but, for example we have plant start, stop and reset buttons, but

when they are pressed they fail to do anything, any help would be valuable.

Regards

Graham Nutt

Did you get any alarm?
Please check the connection and driver objects' configurations.
If that's a serial connection, you can log the diagnostics file on the port to see if any data is sent out.

Anyway, in order to run the Lookout 4.5 process in Lookout 6, you just need to open the .lks file in Lookout 6 and save it.

There are alarms for the plant items, but no alarms for the system, the conection seems to be intact as it is reciveing the information for the rest of the project, we are using an amplicon card to gather the information from an s7 plc, its as if data is allowd in but when you enter data on the Lookout it's not getting sent to the PLC.

I did open the .lks file and have it recompiled, but in order to get a successfull recompile I had to go through the file using a text editor and change all the instances of alarm groups starting with a number and change them to text.

If you operate a switch which in turn should be sent to the PLC, it wait for a few seconds then puts the switch back to its original state.
