Lookout and logging on to remote server

Hello..Can anyone suggest some ways to
log on to a remote server computer running lookout(home to plant).Im tring
to log on after
hours as a client. does it have to be done as a web connection? If so, whats
the chain of events to gain access to
the server via phone modems...does the server have to remain connected to
web
for me to access thru URL etc...
Thanks and Regards Charlie

Hello Charlie,

You can connect to your remote server from your home in two ways:

1> Using a Lookout Client: For this you'll need to establish a TCP/IP connection
between your home machine and Server machine. This can be done over the
phone line as well using RAS. With this, you would first dial into your
remote server, establish a RAS connection and then fire-up Lookout Client.
Please consult your Network Administrator on how to set the RAS network.

2> Use Lookout Web Client: Here, you can use any Internet Explorer (not
your AOL browser!) to connect to the Remote Lookout Server. However, before
you do that, obviously, you'll have to setup your Server as a Web Server
and Export your Lookout process as a web page. Please look at Lookout's
Online Help on Lo
okout Web Clients for a very detailed step-by-step description
of how to do this.

Regards,

Khalid
