Lookout Direct to Lookout

I am migrating an older Lookout Direct (Automation Direct) SCADA system to NI Lookout 6.7.1.  Is there a conversion that needs to be done to the Lookout Direct files?  Are there any "gotchas" that I should be aware of prior to undertaking this migration?  Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I know, Lookout Direct is a quite old software belonging to Automation Direct, there are some differences between Lookout Direc and NI Lookout, which can be seen on the page: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/50D4CB9AB6D5779486256B7C007539A3?OpenDocument

The application built from Lookout Direct can switch over to NI Lookout as long as the objects that are not available in NI Lookout has not been used, please take the following KB as a reference.

My suggestion is that you can firstly try switching over to lower version(such as NI Lookout 4.5.1) of NI Lookout from Lookout Direct, if this step succeeds, that means the original process runs well in NI Lookout, then try upgrading the NI Lookout version. NI lookout has backward compatibility, the application created in lower version Lookout can run normally in higher version, but there are some points you should pay attention to. I have also posted the readme file of the latest Lookout version as an attachment, and the Upgrade Notes part tells the specific steps which can help you to upgrade his process.

NI Lookout has evaluation period, so you can try the method with your original source code saved.
