I have a piece of industrial equipment that is run via a laptop provided by the manufacturer. The laptop is running Windows 7 Professional and the equipment is controlled via Lookout 6.6.
We have been running it for years, but this morning Lookout is failing. As soon as I launch Lookout a window immediately pops up saying the Lookout executable has failed.
I have downloaded Lookout 6.6 client from the NI website. Before I attempt to reinstall it, I was wondering if there is a license file or something similar that I need to copy or save in order to have our license work after reinstallation.

Further information: When I click to view the fault details, it says the fault is in MSVCR90.dll.
I did a search for that file and there are 6 different copies in various folders on the hard drive, so I don't know which copy Lookout is trying to use. I think this dll is part of the Microsoft C++ Visual Runtime package.

Here's the URL for generating an activation key https://www.ni.com/nilg-activate/jsp/customer_activate_details.jsp
It works for the most recent version of Lookout (6.7.1), I'm not sure if it works for 6.6. Or at least it worked the last time I needed to re-license a Lookout install about 6 months ago.

Thanks for the info. I will give it a try after reinstalling Lookout.
