My IT Department is asking if the Lookout is using a SQL Database that they can backup using simple SQL Queries. What should I tell them?

Hi, Citadel is based on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express, it also has ODBC driver, so it can be accessed by other software, I believe the following link can be helpful.

Thanks for the info. My IT guy says that in order for us to link to the SQL Database we need to know the SA Password. Do you know how I can find that?

The defult password is computer ID. You can take the following link as a reference.

The SQL server only stores Events and Alarms, all data is stored in the proprietary Citadel format.

That being said getting the data is relatively easy.

PS: I am not too far from you, Victorville.  Also work with many districts in your area already: DWA, MSWD, etc.
