I understand I can shutdown Lookout programmatically using various methods. (From the Start-Run dialog box, from the MSDOS prompt or by using the Lookout Rn object)
But the example .lks given shows this being done using a push-button object in Lookout.
OK that bit is no problem!
but...
How to get my UPS (or whatever UPS I specify) to trigger this before it triggers Windows to shutdown?
Do I have to instal a relay powered by the mains that when de-energised triggers a digital I/O point in the PLC that is monitored by Lookout and, when triggered, initiates the Run object with "Lookout.exe -shutdown" ? (The UPS would be set to shutdown windows and turn the power off the pc after say 1 minute)
Seems a roundabout way of doing things.
