I am using Lookout 4.0 and have changed the name of my computer in the Network item in the Windows 98 control panel (Control Panel->Network->Identification->Computer Name). In the Lookout application, I have also changed the name of the computer in Edit mode in the Options->System control panel under the computer name field. Either change does not appear to affect the name displayed on the Object Explorer nor the name displayed on the network. I have rebooted both the computer and the application after making these changes.
1. How do I change the computer name so that it shows correctly in the Object Explorer Panel? 2. What is the purpose of the computer name field in the System control panel in Lookout?

Scott,
1) Go to Control Panel-->Network Properties-->TCP/IP properties--> DNS configuration--> Host name. I am willing to be it still reflects your older computer name. 2) The computer name is used for path information for the Lookout networking functionality.
