The readme for each download lists the compatible versions. RHEL 7.9 was still supported through the NI Linux Device Drivers 2022Q3 release.

Installing NI serial 2022 Q3 Device Driver and the same release NI VISA package allowed for configuring the ports to 4-wire mode.

 

I can get the loopback working wiring on the same connector breakout 4-to-8 and 5-to-9.

 

Next will try connecting PC USB-485 to the PXI-8433/4 and see if I can write to the PXI
