My team is using a Diffraction Limited camera, their "SBIG" astronomical/laboratory 8300 camera. It uses VBScript for control and advertises ActiveX as a way of automating with other languages.
I found reference to launching vb scripts in CVI here, which require the Windows SDK:

As for the ActiveX approach, I'm assuming the camera software must be installed on the client machine, then CVI controls that.
Any thoughts on approach here?
