We have two Firewire cameras, (one monochrome and one colour), and a digital video recorder attached to a system.
The monochrome camera camera is rather badly behaved in that if it is acquiring images and either of the other two devices is switched off or disconnected the PC blue-screens. It's nothing to do with our cvi software, we see the same behaviour when running the acquisition programs which came with the camera.
We've discovered that if we disable the device in Device Manager before disconnection the PC doesn't crash. Does anyone have any C/cvi code to access the Device Manager and disable/enable devices?
