How to make enumeration type information accessible in TestStand?

Hello,

I created a DLL in CVI.  One of the functions has an enumeration (enum) type as an input parameter.  I am using a TestStand sequence to call this dll, but TestStand doesn't know anything about the enum type.  It simply displays the input parameter as an integer.

Is there anything I can do to my CVI dll to make the enum type information show up in TestStand?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Christine,

I hope you are doing well today!  In order to have TestStand recognize your enumeration types you have created in LabWindows/CVI, you must include a type library with your DLL that contains the enums.  I have attached a link to a KnowledgeBase article below that describes how you can create a type library with your DLL in order to achieve this.  I hope this helps, Christine.  Have a great day!
