writing to spreadsheet

I have an analogue input being displayed on a graph, but would like to record the data to a spreadsheet. If possible, I'd prefer it so that when a button is pressed, 20 results were recorded ,one per second, but i can't seem to get it working? I can record data to a spreadsheet, but only one value - 0.00. It also prompts me for a file whilst running, is there any way to bypass this and have a file that is automatically written to when the button is pressed?

many thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Have a look at the attached vi... Is it more or less what you need Smiley Surprised ?

Please tell me if I am missing the point...
Hope this help

thats a big help, but what i was looking for ideally, is the spreadsheet to display two columns;

1           0.5

2           0.6

3            0.566

4            0.6777   etc.

where 1,2,3... represent the time (or samples if one sample/second)

upto about 20 values?

Is there any way of doing this??

thanks for your quick reply

Tom

Try a LabVIEW measurement file. Try this vi out. I think it is what you need.
