What is not getting installed? VIPM or the individual packages? LabVIEW 7 is supported, but in order to run VIPM you need to install the LabVIEW 8.2 Runtime. I'm guessing that's your problem.

 

A simply alternative is to use the File/Directory Info function and look at the error code. If you have an error and it's error code 7 it means the file doesn't exist. If there's no error, the file exists. 

 

 


 

no...the VIPM is installed in the desktop..but the individuals packages that i download into the VIPM won't install in my labview 7.0..

VIPM will only work with Labview 8.2 Runtime or compatible or else I won't be able to use use VIPM.

but, i'll try going looking at the error code 7 and see if that will work..

there server is down or something..

i can't install the pacakges in..

it would be easier if i just download to my desktop first and install it after..but the VIPM download and install all at once..

Really, now... It's not that difficult to code it up yourself, as I already explained what you needed to do. The actual OpenG function does this:

 

P.S. Yes, that's the File/Directory Info function. The icon is from LV 8.2.

i tried using file/directory info function..

the only thing it give me is the directory info...

the number of files in the directory

and going with the error code...

i recieve no error..

i'll play with it some more..

yeah..so i managed to do it..

there is a lot of ways to do it though.

i didnt use the "file or directory info" function..
