windows8 vs windows7pro

I am buying a new PC and it is looking like I might be forced into a change from windows 7pro to windows8 (harder to find the exact laptop options in a win7pro pc).

I need to support many applications  I have developed in a variety of LV versions 2010-2013 both 32 and 64 bit all toolkits but mostly FPGA, VISION and DB toolkits.  Any bad experiences with any of this?

Hi Paul,

LabVIEW itself and almost all toolkits and modules work with Windows 8 (32 and 64 bit). The FPGA module does not support Windows 8, specifically the compile tools will not work without some trickery. The OS support policy is available here - http://www.ni.com/labview/os-support/
