why does using labview 3.0.1 with nidaq 6.9.1 cause system crash?

I want to use my LAB-PC+ card for
data acquisition.
Checking the card with WDAQCONF
shows it passes the tests and can read
voltages without error.
However when trying to use the DAQ
vi's , Labview (3.0.1) crashes.
So we downloaded NiDAQ 6.9.1, installed it, and get the same
problem (white window that says
Labview:an error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway click ignore, etc etc..)

NI-DAQ 6.9.1 will not work with LabVIEW 3.0.1. You cannot use a 32-bit driver in a 16-bit environment. I would recommend going all the way back to NI-DAQ 5.0.5 for Windows 3.1 and going backwards from there. I'm assuming that you are using Windows 3.1 because that is the only version of Windows that LabVIEW 3.0.1 is supported on. If you are on another Windows OS, then I recommend upgrading to a version of LabVIEW that officially supports that OS.

Ok Thanks. I tried the less expensive
option (going back to win 3.1 instead
of forward to LV 6.1) - see my question of
07.30.01
