Call Library Function Node.

Connectivity Palette >> Libraries and Executables.

The orange color indicates it is set to run in the UI thread.

Do you see the "picture of books and book-ends" on the center of the orange part?  Does that suggest a "Library" to you?  This is the "Call Library Function" node, found on the Connectivity VIs and Functions palette's "Libraries & Executables" sub-palette.

  • If you are looking at it on the diagram, do a "right-click...help". For further information, double-click it and look at the configuration.
  • If you are looking at it on a picture, knowing the name of the function will not really help you, because it will not tell you what's inside (name of the DLL, calling convention, configuration, function names, etc.)
