what is the maximum sampling rate on USB 6229

Solved!
Go to solution

hello, i would lke to know what is the max freq i can set in AI DAQmx Task for a USB 6229 legacy product. i know the datasheet says its 250Ks/s, but is it true that the sampling rate depends on the no. of AI channels being sampled?i mean, for 1 channel the rate is 250Ks/s, and for 32 single ended channels, does the rate go down to 250K/32 = 7.81Ks/s?

Thanks,

Hello,

that's correct, when using multiple analog input channels on this device, the maximum sample rate per channel is the total maximum sample rate of the device divided by the number of channels sampled. You can read about this on page 4-26 of the M Series User Manual.

Simultaneous sampling devices provide fast sampling rates on all analog input channels and preserve the phase relationship between the input signals.
