Hi,

When i built an exe file my build version is displayed in the properties of that exe via a right click. Which is great. When i then build the exe into an installable application, my build revision isn’t inherited in the setup.exe as i had thought it might be.

Is there a way to get labview to redcord the version/bbuild number? As currently all i se is the national instruments installer details, v3.0.0.408

You can set the version number through the installer's properties in the "Version Information" page.

yup done that. doesnt append it to setup.exe though. other than the setup.ini file, where would one have visibilty of the version once its installed for example?

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood your question. The version number does get used by the installer to check to see if you are installing an upgrade to an existing installation. As far as I know, though, the "setup.exe" file won't reflect the product version number.

That'sone of the reasons why I use Inno Setup.
