use a counter input to get frequency

I want to use a counter input on a DAQ to measure the frequency of a square wave pulse train.  This should be easy......

Haven't gotten it to work.  I've created a task in NI Max and that works just fine in the NI test panel.  When I try to run the task in a VI using the NiDAQ read vi for frequency, I get errors.  Something about the task not matching the input.  Before I post all of the code, is there something simple I'm missing?

Did you try to run a suitable example VI from the example finder?
