sub vi's and clusters

I have a sub vi that returns a cluster. I have to modify the vi to return a larger cluster. Last time I did this, it caused all sorts of havoc with my main vi. It seemed as if the main vi couldn't adjust; I had to recreate all the clusters. Any suggestions?

Make the cluster a typdef this will allow you maintain your code.  Right click on your cluster and choose advanced>>customize.  chanhe the control to typdef and save the cluster.  use this cluster anywhere you use the data.
