Hello Jeff. I'm not quite clear about your solution. because the simulated device with yellow icon and name 'Dev 1' appears only after I install the installer.

And it's for sure that simply deleting the Dev 1 and re-assign all its tasks to my physical device 'Dev 2' with a green icon doesn't work. what do you mean to run a system configuration API utility? how could i do that?

It's a bit confusing, but as I understand, the green device still names "Dev2" in max

Does this match with the task config in your program?

Il you had only one device on the devellopement PC, it's likely  that the name is "Dev1", not "Dev2"...

So try to rename the green devive in max as "Dev1". (or the exact name of the devive in your program, note that font case matter.)

Hope it helps

Antoine

Hello Antoine. Finally I got exactly what all you mean the device name in MY program.

Because in my labview in the desktop where the program was generated, in my DAQ assistace

the device name is '9265' and in my MAX the device name is 'Dev 1'. Although in my desktop everything works

fine but in my target laptop things go wrong only because of this name mistake. Now I changed the device name

in MAX in my target laptop into '9265', and then, it worked out!

Thank you all for the kind help! Really appreciate it!

Chao
