Well the code is now public so you can try to look at it (you can tell it was written in 1999 and developed on a 800x600 monitor 
).
Only difference from the algorithm described in the power point presentation is, that the code also corrects for estimated errors caused by spectral mirroring around DC and Nyquist. This improves accuracy especially at low frequency and it performs much more accurately all the way down to two sine periods.
