shared variable in LV2026 and windows11

I am unable to reproduce the shared variable set up I had in LV2021 on Windows10.
I moved to LV2026 and Windows11 and when I select the shared variable properties in the LV2026 Windows11 environment I do not see the the security option which I had available in LV2021 and Windows10.
I am therefore unable to specify READ/WRITE rights between the two PC sharing variables.
Please note that with my departmental IT officer we have already ruled out firewall issues and verified that my LV2026 install has got already in place the LabVIEW Data logging and Supervisory Control modules.
Also note that The NI Distributed Systems Managers show the shared variable in question being present but does not show any value attached to them.
