scxi 1001 not recognized

HI, I have an SCXI chassis with 1102 modules.  I have it cabled to a PCI-MIO- 16XE-50 Card in the PC.  I am running Labview 8.2 with MAX.  When I open MAX it see the PCI card however the SCXI chassis, etc. is a no show.  I have tried all the basic troubleshooting and everything seems to be connected and powered up.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Hello,

I have outlined the basic process necessary on how to add a SCXI chassis through Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).

Right-click on NI-DAQmx Devices >> Create new NI-DAQmx Devices >> NI-DAQmx SCXI Chassis >> SCXI-1000.  Select the Chassis Communicator, which is the DAQ device that will be communicating with the chassis.  Select the module in the chassis that will be communicating with the DAQ device.

Respectfully,

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the reply.  That works!  I had actually figured it out by right clicking  and sure enough it checked in and communicates fine.  I meant to reply to my message yesterday but ran out of time.  Thanks again

Steve
