sbRIO returns false time after converted to string

Hi everyone,

in fact I have posted this question in another board, but no one seems intresse on it :

http://forums.ni.com/t5/Real-Time-Measurement-and/Time-results-different-on-sbRIO-VxWorks/m-p/249984...

I have still encountered the same problem. I've set the time zone on the VxWorks to UTC but it did not help to solve the problem.

Is there any work around?

My hardware is sbRIO-9636

Hi wiburwu,

in which timezone do you live? Do you have a change of daylight-saving time?

Does the change of the boolean constant shows any different behaviour?

Normaly this difference occures between the UTC and the local time.

Kind regards,

Hi wilburwu,

the daylight-saving time is the Mitteleuropäische SOMMERZEIT.

When I run the attached VI I am able to switch between the MESZ and the UTC format. This is a difference of two hours.

Kind Regards

Hi,

well, I can figure out that this is not an error from the system. The indicator just adapts to the time zone configuration on the PC, and it will convert the UTC time, which is from my sbRIO system, to the current time in the time zone from the PC.

This convertion is automatically done even in DIAdem.

Hi wilburwu,

which programm does which time switch.

I would imagine that this VI relies on a Windows dll and that that causes the delay.

In your first post you've  mentioned that one option works.

Why can't you use this?

Kind Regards,
