Did you mean:

"The VI / control / class already exists and you do not have permission to replace it."

The thread title is the message I am getting for all files when I open this project and try to save it.

It is the Sound Player Demo project from the LVOOP training course. I use LabVIEW 2017 and these files are from 3/8/2013 (date modified).

I found a relevant thread that didn't really help me.

Any tips will be appreciated!

I just had to uncheck 'Read-only' on the top level folder.

Hey pomirobotics,

So unchecking the Read-only box resolved the error message?

Yes, that was it. If you uncheck it for the top-level folder, it gives you an option to apply it to all subfolders and files inside it.
