"LabVIEW: Print dialog error" Valid printer & driver installed. Other apps OK

When trying to print a simple vi block diagram I get the following error message "LabVIEW: Print dialog error. Unable to print. Make sure you have installed and selected a default printer."

I can print to an html file.

A valid network printer & driver is installed. Other applications print fine.

Hi scop,

You should mention what version of LV you are using and what OS, printer etc.

I noticed on the following thread http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=85595&query.id=4153#M85595

that there is an issue with some HP printers/plotters and LV 7.0

The original message form requested all the H/W and S/W version, etc. info but it never showed up in the post.

Window XP Pro and LabVIEW 8.0 on a PXI-8196 controller networked to several HP printers. I do not manage the network.

I believe the drivers are good but not sure of the vintage.

The problem spanned several weeks but mysteriously appeared to have fixed itself when I tried to show someone the problem. I love/hate it when that happens!
