Hello,
I am biomedical Engineering Student working on photoplethysmography. The details for the two NI modules that we are using currently in the lab are:
http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/208797
http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/208806
I am looking for sop2 sensor that could be directly connected to NI modules and its output has to be spo2 saturation as well as photoplethysmograph waveform. I am really wondering if someone could give me some advice about choosing Spo2 sensor with those capabilities or may be a method for using with National Instrument Modules.
Thanks in advance.

Why not pickoff the analog output from a commercial oximeter using an A/D device and bring it into Labview \ MATLAB?
This would ensure that you are working at the top of the stack and not buildling it.
If I was interested in building pulse oximeters (commodity) then I would focus on the signal processing (MATLAB) and not the hardware \ data acquisition.
