problem with nimxsoffline.exe

I am trying to get started with LV 8.0, and when I try to open a blank template I get an error.  The indication is that when trying to load nimxsoffline.exe, it was unable to find niRemoteDD.dll.  It suggested re-installing LV as a remedy, but this had no effect.  I can find no reference to either of these files either in the forum or the knowledgebase.  Help!

Those items are within the MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer) distribution, so they would be part of the Device Drivers CD. Did you install any of that stuff?

I'm fairly certain that I did the first time.  For some reason, when I did the re-install it said that the version I had installed was newer than what is on the disk.
