not possible to bind shared variable via Ethernet network

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello!

I have computer A and B with windows xp, sp3 and labview 8.6, professional edition. Both computers are in the ethernet network. I like to exchanged data between two LV application using shared variables. I create shared variable (network published) on both computers.
The problem is, that is in shared variable properties not possible to bind variable from remote computer to the local computer. In first step there are even no possible to see any computer in the network. After computer registration (tools->shared variable->Register computer)
i see the remote computer, but without any shared variable.

Do you have any idea how to solved this problem?

Thank you for the answers.

On the PC that is hosting the shared variables, has the shared variable library been deployed yet before you try to bind the other PC's variables to the network published shared variables?
